Black storax is a natural resin known since the times of ancient Egyptians and Phoenicians. It is obtained from the Liquidambar Orientails, a tree which is native to Asia Minor. The liquid that oozes from the plant is thick and viscous, with a grayish-brown or greenish color that becomes almost black when dried. The liquid is removed from the plant, crushed with a part of the bark, boiled with seawater, then purified and filter. This allows to obtain a balsamic resin, which is an excellent remedy against cough and cold. It is also used in the treatment of scabies. The floral fragrance of this resin is perfect in any environment.
