This altar bread is made only with water and flour and is intended for the distribution of the Eucharist. The peculiarity of this type of host lies in the extension of the cooking time, which makes it “red” and crunchy. They are almost 3mm thick and have a diameter of 35 mm that equals the one of traditional Communion hosts. They are produced in Italy by companies well versed in meeting all health requirements.
